Abstract. Uranium is recovered from an ore by forming, from the ore, a clear solution of a hexavalent uranyl-alkali metal or -ammonium carbonate solution, precipitating hydrated UO/sub 2/ from the solution by forming nascent hydrogen therein and separating this oxide.
